Geological engineers bridge the gap between natural systems and engineering solutions. They utilize engineering concepts to work with earth materials like rock formations, soil layers, underground water, and hydrocarbon resources.USask has transformed its first-year engineering program to enhance student success and enjoyment, calling this innovative approach RE-ENGINEERED. This unique Canadian program sparks enthusiasm for engineering through engaging learning methods.
The RE-ENGINEERED program replaces stressful exams with frequent assignments and quizzes, allowing for grade improvement throughout the term. Scheduled daily tutorials provide ongoing support, while practical courses replace traditional finals with hands-on exploration of various engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization (major/discipline) after completing first year, determining their focused area of study for advanced coursework.
