Engineering physics serves as a connection between theoretical and practical sciences, applying core principles in our fast-evolving, technology-driven engineering landscape. Engineering physicists are driven by using scientific knowledge to push technological progress and promote sustainability.
At USask, we've transformed first-year engineering to enhance student success and enjoyment. Our innovative approach, called RE-ENGINEERED, stands unique in Canada. This program aims to spark enthusiasm and creativity about engineering.
The RE-ENGINEERED program replaces stressful exams with frequent assignments and quizzes, allowing grade improvement after early challenges. Scheduled daily tutorials provide timely support. Rather than traditional finals, students engage in practical courses exploring various engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization (major or discipline) after completing first year. This chosen focus area becomes the subject of advanced study in subsequent years.
