Political Studies explores how power operates in society's pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and collective welfare. This field addresses governmental systems, governance structures, authority dynamics, fairness in resource allocation, civic duties, and peacekeeping efforts across local, national, and global contexts.
Students will analyze elements shaping political choices, such as belief systems, political organizations, leadership styles, civic groups, electoral processes, and media influence. The curriculum also covers challenges to worldwide security, including economic deprivation, ecological crises, human rights abuses, population displacement, and other pressing domestic and global concerns.
