The Master of Indigenous Social Work equips students to become clinical practitioners focused on serving First Nations individuals, families, groups, and communities. This program educates social workers in traditional Indigenous cultural approaches, enabling them to specialize in therapeutic and healing techniques for those impacted by residential school trauma, generational wounds, and related challenges. Students gain hands-on experience through a clinical internship, enhancing their professional skills while making meaningful contributions to First Nations communities. The degree can be earned within a single year.
Applicants must have a graduating average of at least 70 per cent from a four-year baccalaureate degree (or equivalent).
