Human kinetics explores the science of physical movement and exercise, examining how they influence health, bodily functions, and performance. This field is alternatively known as exercise science.

The University of Regina's human kinetics bachelor's program covers biomechanics, physiology, exercise physiology, motor control theory, and exercise psychology, with applications to health, wellness, and disease management. Students examine both individual and community-focused approaches, including rehabilitation strategies, lifestyle modification, and chronic disease prevention. The curriculum also addresses disabilities and their connection to physical activity, evaluation methods, and recovery processes.

Through this program, students gain expertise in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, movement patterns, and exercise psychology while developing skills for both personal and population-level interventions.
