UPEI's Co-op Program blends academic learning with professional experience, allowing students to alternate between campus studies and relevant work placements. This model thrives on students applying classroom theories in real-world settings, then bringing practical insights back to their studies. Graduates who meet all program requirements receive special recognition on their academic records and diplomas. Participants must complete three paid 14-week work terms and three professional development courses. Work term credits count toward general elective requirements (either free electives or non-business electives).

Qualification Requirements
Be a full-time student enrolled in the Actuarial Sciences, Analytics, Applied Communication, Leadership, and Culture, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Financial Mathematics, Foods and Nutrition, Mathematics, Physics, or, Statistics programs only.
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher in all courses, and a 2.7 in required program courses completed to date.
Show an interest, aptitude, and assessed ability, usually determined through an interview, to combine successfully the academic requirements with the requirements of the co-op program.
Be committed to completing the required number of work terms prior to graduation.
IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6, TOEFL paper-based test - 550 with minimum TWE of 5.5, TOEFL internet-based test - 80 with minimum of 20 in each category.
