The School of Information Studies, part of the Faculty of Arts, provides a graduate diploma in Information Management along with a Master of Information Studies (MIS) degree.

Students pursuing the Master of Information Studies can choose full-time or part-time study, completing six mandatory core courses during their initial year followed by a capstone course in their final semester.

The MIS program features three distinct pathways to fulfill degree requirements: coursework, thesis research, or a cooperative education track. It's important to note that the co-op pathway is exclusively for full-time students, with limited annual placements available. Regardless of the chosen path, at least 25% of coursework must be completed in a second language.

MIS alumni are equipped for diverse professional roles such as controlled vocabulary experts, digital preservation specialists, information system designers, knowledge management consultants, library administrators, metadata coordinators, data privacy officers, records management professionals, and web content strategists, among other rewarding positions.
