The Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa fosters a dynamic learning community with around 1,600 students and 150 faculty members, blending full-time and part-time professors. This collaborative space brings together educators, learners, and community partners to drive innovation in our graduate programs.
Whether you aspire to excel as an educator, lead as a school administrator, pioneer research, or specialize in program evaluation, our faculty equips you with the tools to make meaningful community contributions while earning credentials that propel your professional growth.
Our program empowers educators to refine their instructional abilities, enabling them to supplement their Basic Qualifications with additional certifications acknowledged by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
Educators can pursue Additional Qualification Courses (AQ Courses) to specialize in specific teaching divisions or subjects, while Additional Basic Qualification (ABQ) courses deepen expertise in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation within particular educational levels.
