The School of Political Studies provides graduate education programs culminating in a Graduate Diploma in Public Management and Governance, as well as Master of Arts (MA) and PhD degrees in Political Science. The MA program accommodates both full-time and part-time students, while the PhD program is exclusively full-time. Instruction is available in both French and English.
Students may submit their coursework in either French or English. Upon admission, candidates must demonstrate fluent French comprehension and basic English proficiency. French serves as the primary language for departmental meetings, graduate association gatherings, and internal communications.
The department is involved in joint programs for Feminist and Gender Studies (MA level) and Canadian Studies (PhD level).
The master's collaborative program in Feminist and Gender Studies caters to students from various disciplines including arts, education, health sciences, law, social sciences, and counseling and spirituality (Saint Paul University) who wish to explore Feminist and Gender Studies. Participants can integrate specialized studies in their main discipline with Feminist and Gender Studies approaches. Graduates receive their primary degree with an added "specialization in Feminist and Gender Studies."
