The programs enhance analytical and academic expertise within specialized disciplines, equipping students for diverse career paths in education and research across academic and non-academic sectors such as government, healthcare, and industry. Graduates will develop independent research capabilities and scholarly writing proficiency through a curriculum combining coursework, research seminars, and thesis-based independent study.
The Department collaborates with these interdisciplinary programs: Bioinformatics (master's level) and Pathology and Experimental Medicine (master's and doctoral levels).
The PhD program is part of the MD-PhD Combined Program, enabling students to earn both a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology alongside an MD degree. Additional details are available on the Faculty of Medicine's website.
Have a master's degree in microbiology or immunology (or equivalent) with a minimum average of B+ (75%).
