The Department of Economics provides both a Master of Arts and a PhD program in Economics. The MA program features an optional co-op component, while the PhD is a collaborative initiative with Carleton University.
These graduate programs adhere to the University of Ottawa's standard graduate studies regulations. The joint PhD program follows specific guidelines for collaborative graduate programs along with the general policies of both participating institutions.
Faculty research within the Social Sciences is vibrant and focuses on creating meaningful contributions locally and internationally, particularly through two overarching themes: "la francophonie" and Indigenous studies, which shape our research focus and methodological approaches.
