Biomedical Science is a multidisciplinary field that explores the core principles of human and animal anatomy and physiology. The initial phase of study covers essential topics in anatomy, psychology, and foundational sciences including biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and mathematics. Following this foundation, students can specialize by pairing advanced biology and biochemistry courses with electives to earn a minor in arts or social sciences, or pursue concentrations in life science areas like neuroscience, cellular/molecular medicine, bioanalytical science, biostatistics, or medicinal chemistry. The program also features a Research Focus track, available from the third year, designed for those interested in research careers. Graduates emerge ready for advanced research opportunities or entry into professional healthcare programs.
