Students enrolled in the BComm Honours Program are required to fulfill all standard BComm requirements for their chosen major(s). They must also complete 6 credit hours of COMM 497-(3,6) Honours Thesis, supervised by a faculty member holding a PhD. Admission to the Honours Program occurs after completing the second year of BComm studies (minimum 60 credit hours) with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.33 based on the most recent 60 credits at the time of application. Prerequisites for consideration include successful completion of MATH 150-3, MATH 152-3, CPSC 250-3, and ECON 205-3 (or equivalent courses). Meeting the 3.33 GPA requirement during the first two years does not ensure admission, as acceptance remains at the Department's discretion. To continue in the program, students must maintain a semester GPA of 3.33 or higher after each term and avoid receiving any grade below a C in their coursework following admission to the Honours Program.
