Established in 1854, UNB's Civil Engineering department boasts a rich legacy of excellence. Our graduate program has equipped countless students with the vital engineering expertise needed to design, construct, and oversee society's critical infrastructure.
Whether working on transportation networks, structural projects, sustainable water systems, or green buildings, UNB graduates leave with the knowledge to pursue rewarding careers with engineering firms, non-governmental organizations, government bodies, and research institutions worldwide.
The MScE program focuses on research, requiring students to complete a substantial thesis. Thesis topics must gain approval from the relevant GAU at least six months prior to graduation. This research project must showcase a student's ability to conduct independent investigation while advancing knowledge in their field. The thesis should demonstrate thorough understanding of existing literature, maintain high academic standards in writing, and be meticulously edited for technical accuracy.
