The Department of Soil Science offers robust graduate programs for both Master's and Doctoral degrees. Our research spans diverse topics covering all facets of Soil Science within agricultural and ecological systems. We examine soil interactions with air and water, studying physical, chemical, and biological processes. Financial support is available through Research Assistantships, and we welcome applicants with external scholarships. Our alumni enjoy high career success rates and strong employment prospects. The department delivers education on land resources—their utilization and management—to diploma, undergraduate, and graduate students across multiple faculties. Our teaching and research prioritize sustainable land use, improved agricultural productivity, and preserving soil, water, and food quality impacted by farming and human activities.
