Mathematics explores concepts of quantity, structure, space, and transformation. Scholars in this field identify patterns and develop hypotheses that serve as foundational tools across various academic disciplines. Our Mathematics Department comprises 33 faculty members, 7 retired professors, 15 senior researchers, 28 graduate candidates, and 5 administrative personnel, with more than 8,500 undergraduate students. Research specialties span algebraic geometry, topology, approximation methods, combinatorics, complex variables, computational algebra, mathematical logic, functional analysis, harmonic studies, biological mathematics, matrix theory, number theory, numerical methods, operator theory, algebraic systems, and differential equations.
