Finance explores how individuals and organizations make financial decisions regarding investments, portfolio management, and corporate finance while navigating risks and innovations in a rapidly changing business landscape. As a finance student, you'll examine subjects like corporate and personal finance, investment strategies, global financial systems, fintech advancements, financial markets, and derivative instruments. You'll enhance your expertise by utilizing Excel, statistical analysis tools, trading platforms, and portfolio management software, integrating knowledge from economics, accounting, and corporate social responsibility to prepare for careers in banking, investment firms, international finance, trading operations, and risk assessment. Our program offers practical experience through the Student Managed Investment Fund. The Dhillon School of Business provides flexible pathways: a 10-course Management Certificate with finance specialization, a 20-course (roughly two-year) Finance Diploma, or a comprehensive 40-course (approximately four-year) Business Degree with a finance major, available to high school graduates, college transfers, or those pursuing a second degree. Certificate and diploma students can seamlessly transition into the degree program.
