The health of Indigenous communities reflects the health of Canada as a whole. Addressing Indigenous health in Canada requires tackling a multifaceted social justice challenge that demands innovative, culturally aware professionals dedicated to correcting historical injustices and building a fairer society.

Explore the root causes—both past and present—of pressing concerns like economic hardship, access to clean water and food, substance abuse, youth mental health crises, and domestic violence.

Gain insight from Indigenous wisdom by connecting with elders, cultural experts, healthcare providers, and community members. Discover how Indigenous traditions, knowledge, and approaches nurture wellbeing across generations and strengthen families and communities.

Acquire adaptable skills to help organizations and communities address urgent health challenges affecting both Indigenous populations and all Canadians. Put your knowledge into practice through hands-on experience by undertaking a placement with provincial or Indigenous-led organizations.
