The Philosophy Department comprises 15 faculty members specializing in diverse research fields, supported by an active community of 45 graduate students pursuing Master's and Doctoral degrees. Our faculty's areas of expertise include historical philosophy, feminist theory, moral philosophy, sociopolitical thought, philosophy of mind and language, theory of knowledge, metaphysics, and philosophy of science. We provide two Master's degree pathways: a one-year program combining coursework with a significant research component, or a two-year thesis-based option. Our four-year PhD program involves coursework, comprehensive examinations, and the development and defense of an original dissertation.
