The Biodiversity Major provides comprehensive training in life's diversity and evolutionary processes, with focused study on organism-level biology. As the most adaptable program within the Integrative Biology Department, it enables students to tailor their studies to personal interests. This major prepares graduates for advanced studies in biodiversity, botany, zoology, and related fields, while also establishing a strong scientific foundation for careers in education, government, or industry.
Biodiversity influences all planetary systems. To broaden students' perspectives, we highly recommend participating in an international exchange during the fifth semester. Gaining worldwide insights into biodiversity challenges across various economic, social, environmental, and biological contexts enhances students' ability to think critically and navigate the field's inherent complexities.
