The animal science program offers comprehensive studies in animal physiology, nutrition, genetics, behavior, and welfare, covering various domestic species of all sizes. Students can choose between a Production and Management track or a Research specialization during their final years, with the added option to spend a semester studying overseas.
The Animal Science Co-op program helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional work by combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.

Qualification Requirements
If you are applying with an IB Diploma from outside of Canada, you should present a minimum score of 28. Many programs will require a higher score for admission consideration. Reported bonus points from TOK and EE will be taken into consideration.
The secondary school graduation certificate which would admit a student to an internationally recognized university in his or her home country is normally acceptable for admission to the University of Guelph.
