Students must choose their courses in accordance with the B.A. Program Regulations (which include Distribution Requirements), selecting either the General or Honours degree pathway (outlined below), along with the specific study plans for any specialized subjects. At the University of Guelph, students can pursue both general and honours programs to earn a B.A. degree. The General Program requires at least 15.00 credits, equivalent to 6 semesters of full-time study. For the Honours Program, students must complete a minimum of 20.00 credits over 8 semesters of full-time study. Enrollment is available during Summer, Fall, and Winter semesters. Full-time students typically take 2.50 credits per semester, though they may opt for an additional 0.50 credit if desired. Part-time study involves registering for 1.50 credits or fewer each semester.
