The Theatre diploma is a 60-credit program offering comprehensive exposure to theatrical disciplines such as acting, stagecraft, and performance theory. Participants acquire hands-on experience by contributing to UFV Theatre productions throughout their studies.
This program welcomes individuals passionate about exploring theater arts, performance studies, or the performing arts in general. It accommodates diverse backgrounds, including recent high school graduates, international learners, adult students pursuing continuing education, and Indigenous community members. No prior theater experience is required. Graduates leave with refined performance abilities, technical theater expertise, a richer understanding of theatrical arts, and improved teamwork and communication skills. The diploma serves as a pathway to advanced studies in UFV's BA Theatre programs, including major, extended minor, or minor options.
Applicants must have a B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, or minimum 19 years of age before the first day of classes.
