Build a strong foundation in contemporary biology and develop professional biologist skills through UFV's Bachelor of Science in Biology program. During your initial two years, you'll establish core knowledge in cellular biology, biochemistry, and ecological relationships. The final two years allow for specialization through diverse advanced courses. Optional experiential learning includes field excursions, academic tours, and guided research projects. UFV's Biology department provides comprehensive support throughout your studies, including assistance with personal research initiatives. According to the Conference Board of BC, natural science careers demonstrate low unemployment and increasing salaries. Graduates with biology degrees qualify for numerous entry-level roles across sectors such as environmental conservation, wildlife management, pharmaceutical industries, geological research, public health organizations, and agricultural development.
