Expand your knowledge of our planet by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a major, minor, extended minor, or honors in Geography. This field examines Earth's physical characteristics, weather patterns, and diverse natural occurrences. As a Geography student in the Bachelor of Arts program, you'll investigate connections between the natural world and subjects like political systems, historical developments, cultural practices, economic theories, and scientific principles. During your initial two years, you'll study fundamental elements of our planet including: weather systems, geological transformations, terrain features, and mineral compositions. The curriculum also covers human-environment relationships and our species' ecological footprint. In your final two years, you can select advanced courses ranging from food systems geography and environmental shifts to earth sciences, wetland ecosystems, belief systems, hospitality industries, and city development strategies. Geography majors in the Bachelor of Arts program may additionally focus on Metropolitan Development and Design as a specialization.
