Explore the criminal justice system and investigate intricate topics including crime origins, prevention strategies, and law enforcement approaches. During your initial two years, you'll study the historical development of criminological theories while understanding criminology as both a scientific discipline and professional practice. You'll discover how psychological and social influences contribute to criminal behavior and examine the implementation of justice systems. In your third and fourth years, you'll enhance analytical abilities by creating an independent research project. This experience allows you to employ diverse research methodologies, equipping you for postgraduate education and specialized careers in criminal justice. Upon completing UFV's Criminal Justice Bachelor program, you'll possess the terminology and analytical skills to implement criminological principles addressing personal, communal, and institutional challenges.
