UFV's four-year Bachelor of Agricultural Science program with a Horticulture specialization equips you with an ideal combination of technical expertise, communication abilities, and business knowledge, positioning you for leadership in the Fraser Valley's thriving agricultural industry.
While covering fundamental topics common to Horticulture programs (including nursery management, greenhouse operations, vegetable and fruit production, and plant science), this degree emphasizes hands-on learning. Many courses incorporate lab sessions, practical greenhouse experience, and field excursions.
Through Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Geography labs, students gain proficiency with laboratory instruments while developing skills in technical documentation and presentations. Agriculture coursework focuses on greenhouse management, pest identification and control, and soil assessment, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application.
