Within one year, the UBC MBAN equips quantitatively-minded students with in-demand analytical capabilities set in a comprehensive business framework. Graduates will master applying sophisticated analytical techniques to solve contemporary management problems. The program requires completion of 39 credits across data management, analytics, and decision-making courses. Every student undertakes a 6-credit, 4-month Analytics Consulting Internship, providing practical experience and business competencies through collaboration with top-tier companies.
Three or Four-year Bachelor’s degree with a B+ average, or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution.

Due to the rigorous nature of the program, it is strongly recommended that applicants have some exposure to university-level courses in topics like statistics, calculus, and linear algebra (or other courses in mathematics and statistics). Experience in computer programming, data analytics or mathematical modeling is also an asset.
