The program's main objective is to cultivate expert psychologists whose work in research, education, and clinical practice enhances the learning and mental health of young people. Following a scientist-practitioner approach, the School and Applied Child Psychology curriculum blends theoretical knowledge, investigative methods, and hands-on clinical abilities. Instruction covers academic, social, behavioral, consultative, therapeutic, and preventive aspects, while equipping students to combine evaluation techniques with treatment strategies and understand pertinent professional standards and ethical considerations. The program treats scientific inquiry and practical application as mutually reinforcing elements, weaving research throughout fundamental psychological and educational coursework alongside supervised field experiences at every stage of training.
