The social and personality psychology program follows a mentorship-based approach to research training, where students collaborate closely with faculty members. Participants are urged to engage in projects beyond those led by their primary advisor(s). Admission is based on alignment between each student's research focus and the expertise of faculty in the social/personality area. This structure aims to immerse students in social/personality studies from the start of their graduate education while providing them with essential research competencies.
