Our program immerses students in independent research while expanding their engagement with specialized areas of Geography. Students can explore research topics across these key sub-disciplines: Biogeography, Climate Studies, Economic Geography, Environmental Sustainability, Gender and Geography, GIS Technology, Landform Processes, Historical Geography, Water Systems and Glaciers, Indigenous Land Studies, Political Geography, Sociocultural Geography, and Urban Studies.
The PhD program offers adaptable, research-focused learning tailored to each student's goals. Participants from diverse academic backgrounds receive guidance from leading experts in physical geography, human geography, and geospatial technologies.
