Civil engineers play a pivotal role in molding our surroundings through analysis, planning, design, construction, and upkeep of infrastructure. This program offers coursework and hands-on lab experiences covering soil mechanics, foundation design, construction management, structural design using steel, concrete and timber, along with municipal infrastructure planning, coastal engineering, and environmental assessments.
The Civil Engineering curriculum builds a strong base in core sciences and specialized engineering principles. Initial years focus on foundational subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, solid and fluid mechanics, and structural theory. Advanced years delve into specialized areas such as Environmental, Geotechnical, Hydraulics, Structural, and Transportation Engineering, with laboratory components in later years. The final year includes collaborative design projects and technical electives for specialization.
