Discover how to implement engineering concepts and design approaches in medicine and biology for healthcare applications through Biomedical Engineering. Begin by establishing fundamentals in biomechanics and biomaterials, cellular and molecular bioengineering, biomedical systems and signals, or biomedical informatics before focusing on a specialization in your third year.
As a Biomedical Engineering student, you'll complete essential coursework designed to create a robust base in engineering, biology, mathematics, chemistry, and design principles. During your third year, you can tailor your degree by selecting one of four specialization tracks:
Biomechanics and biomaterials
Cellular and molecular bioengineering
Biomedical systems and signals
Biomedical informatics
The program combines conventional, digital, and hybrid learning formats with practical studio sessions, lab work, and design projects. These immersive experiences will deepen your knowledge of biology, human anatomy, and physiology while equipping you with the expertise to apply this understanding in engineering design scenarios and tackle technical challenges.
