The Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science (MScRS) program caters to graduate students pursuing careers in both academic and non-academic health sectors, as well as interdisciplinary fields. This degree provides foundational research training for those aiming to continue toward a PhD in Rehabilitation Science or similar disciplines. Students enrolled in the MSc Rehabilitation Science program typically come from clinical backgrounds such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, communication sciences, kinesiology, law, public health, or other health-related professions.

Qualification Requirements

For the MSc, the Faculty's minimum admission requirements are a bachelor's degree or a previous graduate degree in a rehabilitation discipline or related field with an admission GPA of at least 3.0 on the 4-point scale from the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification and standing from a recognized institution. The admission GPA will be calculated on the last 60 units of graded coursework completed, or on the equivalent of the last two years of full-time graded coursework.

a minimum overall IELTS score of 7.5 with at least 7.0 on each test band,
