Our graduate program employs an apprenticeship approach to cultivate highly skilled, autonomous researchers poised to advance the field of psychology. Through close mentorship from our distinguished faculty, students engage in hands-on research from the outset, fostering continuous scholarly growth. Our alumni hold prominent positions across academia, government agencies, and private sector organizations.

Songbird Neuroethology - focuses on avian vocalization and auditory processing, examining production mechanisms, perceptual systems, and how early acoustic experiences shape adult communication and neural pathways.
Individual Learning Variations - explores animal cognition's role in solving natural challenges, including foraging strategies, species recognition, and nest-building behaviors, while examining the origins and impacts of cognitive diversity.
