The TESL Program focuses on equipping educators with both teaching methodologies and research skills to navigate the evolving ESL landscape. We offer training for aspiring teachers as well as seasoned professionals. Our approach to professional growth involves exposing students to cutting-edge research and theoretical frameworks, teaching them to analyze classroom dynamics through inquiry, and examining potential solutions to these observations. Many graduate students collaborate with TESL faculty on research initiatives. Our program's professors and adjunct instructors are engaged researchers who maintain strong connections with both classrooms and the broader TESL field. The program's goal is to prepare ESL teachers with the necessary theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice for teaching English domestically and internationally.
