The FastTrack MBA is tailored for professionals who already possess core business knowledge, enabling them to elevate their leadership capabilities. Instead of revisiting basic concepts, this accelerated program concentrates on high-level management subjects essential for career advancement. FastTrack participants fully integrate into upper-level Alberta MBA elective courses alongside regular students.
Available in both intensive 10-month (Full-Time, August-May) and flexible 22-month (Part-Time) formats, the program begins with a one-week immersion course in mid-August. Winter intake (January) part-time students must complete this August intensive. Note: While Real Estate Stream participants fulfill specialized requirements, they receive a General MBA designation without stream notation on transcripts or diplomas.

Qualification Requirements
The Alberta School of Business admits exceptional students from a wide range of backgrounds to the MBA program. Applicants who can demonstrate strong leadership qualities, unique backgrounds, work experience and the initiative and motivation to succeed in academic and professional pursuits are prime candidates for the Alberta MBA. The language of instruction at the University of Alberta is English. Applicants who do not hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution in which the language of instruction is English are required to provide an official result from a test of English language proficiency (ELP). A list of ELP exempt institutions is available through the Faculty of Graduate Studies. If your institution is not listed on the exemption list, but you did complete your undergraduate degree with English as the medium of instruction, we can consider your application without a test of English language proficiency (you may still be asked to provide one).
Successful applicants will have demonstrated their English language proficiency by achieving the following minimum scores:
TOEFL: 600 (paper-based test), or 100 (internet-based test)
IELTS (Academic): Overall band score of 7.0, with at least 6.0 on each band
