The Master of Arts Program in Gender and Social Justice Studies focuses on examining social justice through an intersectional lens, employing interdisciplinary methods to explore political, aesthetic, and ethical issues related to gender and social justice. Participants will acquire the expertise needed to conduct independent academic research, analysis, and initiatives that promote social justice and address systemic inequalities.
This MA program offers two tracks: a 12-month course-based option or a 24-month thesis-based path. Students engage in Praxis and Research seminars while selecting electives from Women's and Gender Studies and related fields. Course-based candidates develop a customized portfolio aligned with their academic and career objectives, while thesis-based students complete a graduate thesis supervised by a faculty member from our program or affiliated with the department.
