The Department of Drama provides advanced degree programs including a PhD in Performance Studies, MFA degrees in Theatre Design, Directing, Theatre Voice Pedagogy, and Theatre Practice, along with an MA in Drama.

Students gain access to professional-grade facilities throughout their studies, featuring performance venues, workshops, rehearsal studios, classrooms, libraries, graduate workspaces, computer labs, and seminar rooms. The Timms Centre for the Arts boasts a 289-seat proscenium theater, a secondary black box space, theater archives, prop workshops, production offices, costume departments, dressing rooms, and a green room. The Fine Arts Building provides diverse studio and performance environments for academic and creative work.
A distinctive performance studies methodology connects theatrical practice with cultural studies, enabling students to enhance their research with insights into artistic creation processes.

Research proposal in pdf (not binding, students may change their research focus in the course of their program)
3 letters of recommendation. TOEFL iBT, in-person or special at-home edition - Total score of 90 with a score of at least 21 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) or equivalent. IELTS - 6.5, with at least 6.0 on each test band. Canadian Academic English Language Assessment - Overall 70 with at least 60 on each subtest.
