The Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences addresses worldwide issues through education and research. Our programs equip students and advance studies to sustain global food supplies, protect ecosystems, enhance personal and societal health, and foster bio-resource advancements. This doctoral program involves four years of intensive research. Rural sociology explores community dynamics and transformations in countryside regions, including topics like agricultural systems, natural resource management, and energy production. REES scholars investigate diverse, cross-disciplinary global concerns including economic progress, worldwide integration, sustainable food systems, ecological shifts, and social equity. Environmental sociology analyzes the relationship between societies and their surroundings, frequently concentrating on ecological challenges, sustainability risks, conservation ethics, material usage, and purchasing patterns.
