The doctoral program is structured for completion within four years of full-time study. Evidence of English Language Proficiency. International applicants who are not exempt need to demonstrate English Language Proficiency through one of the following exam scores:
TOEFL: minimum score of 600 (paper-based) or a total score of 100 with a score of at least 22 in each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) Please note that the University of Alberta does not accept computer-based TOEFL results
IELTS: minimum overall band score of 7, with at least 6.5 on each band

3. Ask 3 referees to provide a reference for you (the online system will contact them).

4. Open an Online Application Form. Fill out the form and upload:

the Statement of Program: 1000-1200 words (see Application Tips for more information)
