The Measurement, Evaluation, and Data Science (MEDS) graduate program equips students with fundamental expertise across four key disciplines: Psychometrics (creating, assessing, and understanding precision measurement tools), Research Methodology (statistical approaches and study frameworks), Evaluation (assessing educational and institutional initiatives), and Data Science (exploratory data analysis, artificial intelligence methods, and educational data insights). As Canada's most extensive graduate offering in these specialized fields, MEDS boasts five dedicated professors with robust, funded research initiatives. The program provides mandatory and optional coursework through the Education Faculty and collaborates with departments like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Psychology, and Language Studies. MEDS maintains a partnership with Canada's premier research facility in this domain - the Centre for Research in Applied Measurement and Evaluation (CRAME).
