The Honors in Mathematics program immerses you in the fundamental elegance of mathematical concepts. This path is ideal if you're captivated by abstract thinking, rigorous reasoning, patterns, and pursuing mathematics purely for intellectual enrichment. While many pure mathematicians work in academia and research organizations, growing numbers are entering business fields like finance and technology. The Bachelor of Science with Honors provides concentrated study in a chosen discipline for students inclined toward scientific investigation. Each curriculum includes a mandatory research thesis component and demands superior academic performance compared to a standard BSc Major. Participants may complement their studies with a minor from Arts, Native Studies, Business, or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences faculties, though this limits elective choices. The Honors track does not permit double majors.
