The Bachelor of Science in Forest Business Management, a collaborative program between the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences and the Alberta School of Business, equips students for leadership roles in the forestry sector. This program teaches practical application of academic concepts to address actual problems in forest and land stewardship, including participation in a three-week field school for hands-on experience with forestry practices. Graduates will meet the qualifications to obtain Registered Professional Forester certification.

Qualification Requirements

English is the primary language of instruction in all Faculties except Facult Saint-Jean. All undergraduate applicants to any program or course except Facult Saint-Jean need an adequate level of English language proficiency before admission, regardless of their citizenship status or country of origin. The University of Alberta reserves the right to use discretion in determining adequate levels of language proficiency to ensure success in academic programs.
Graduation from a recognized degree program offered by an accredited university at which English is the primary language of instruction or in a country where English is the primary language.
A score of at least 90 on the TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language - Internet-based) with no less than 21 on each band.
A score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with no band less than 6.0.
A score of at least 70 on the Canadian Academic English Language assessment: CAEL (paper) or CAEL CE (computer) with no band less than 60.
