This program teaches you to apply collective action, policies, institutions, and management strategies to tackle environmental and natural resource challenges. You'll gain scientific knowledge about environmental changes while emphasizing the social frameworks used to resolve these issues. Offered collaboratively by the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences and the Faculty of Native Studies, this five-year curriculum explores Indigenous history, governance, cultural principles, resource management, and land stewardship within governmental policy and industrial development contexts. The program includes an optional 10-day field school experience. Human Dimensions of Environmental Management serves as the mandatory specialization for this degree.
