This program lets you specialize in the growing nanotechnology field, providing foundational knowledge about nanoscale integrated circuit fabrication and the development of tools for mass-producing nanoscale systems. Nanotechnology involves researching, designing, and creating materials smaller than a micrometre (0.000001 metres), with countless applications across consumer and industrial sectors—from enhancing computer performance to improving water quality in isolated regions.

You can pursue this degree as a Co-op (co-operative education) program, which includes paid, supervised work terms during your studies. Co-op programs offer valuable challenges, industry-relevant experience, and professional networking opportunities before graduation. The Faculty of Engineering ranks among Canada's top engineering schools, featuring world-class professors, cutting-edge labs, specialized research facilities, and innovative learning spaces.

During your studies, you'll engage in hands-on learning, research projects, and collaborative work both in and beyond the classroom. Situated in the core of western Canada's energy and resource sectors, we maintain strong industry ties and provide exceptional work placement opportunities.
