Our program provides training in multiple widely-spoken languages that students can choose as their primary or secondary focus within a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree. The program lets you select two concentration areas - a primary and secondary focus - enabling you to follow your interests and tailor your educational journey.

The Secondary Education curriculum features two practical teaching components: a five-week Introductory Professional Term (IPT) and a more intensive nine-week Advanced Professional Term (APT). Students generally teach their primary subject area during both terms. While typically structured as a four-year course, this degree also accommodates those pursuing it after completing another undergraduate program. Graduates will qualify for Alberta teaching certification upon successful completion.
