Physics is available as either a major or minor within the Bachelor of Secondary Education program. Alongside Physics, students can explore disciplines like Astronomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, and Mathematics. Teaching represents a profound vocation, and we're committed to shaping educators who will leave a lasting impact on their students. Through our Faculty of Education's Secondary Education program, you'll gain the skills to inspire grades 7-12 learners across nearly any subject area. The program lets you select two specialization areas—a major and minor—enabling you to follow your academic interests while tailoring your educational journey.

The Secondary Education curriculum features both a five-week Introductory Professional Term (IPT) and a nine-week Advanced Professional Term (APT). Typically, you'll instruct in your major subject during both teaching terms. While designed as a four-year program, this degree can also be pursued as an after-degree. Graduates will qualify for Alberta teacher certification upon successful program completion.
