The duration of this after-degree program depends on the transferability of your prior academic credits. You can complete this program either at the University of Alberta or through our Collaborative Off-Campus Program at partner institutions.

The program features a five-week Introductory Professional Term (IPT) followed by a nine-week Advanced Professional Term (APT), with teaching typically centered around your primary specialization. While designed as a four-year course, this degree can also be pursued as an after-degree. Graduates receive recommendation for Alberta teaching certification upon completion.
