The Alberta School of Business collaborates with the Faculty of Arts' Department of East Asian Studies to deliver this distinctive and forward-thinking major. In today's interconnected world economy, navigating international business requires specialized knowledge due to variations in languages, cultures, and legal systems. This East Asian Business Studies program equips business students with in-depth understanding of East Asian languages, cultural traditions, historical contexts, and economic systems, focusing particularly on China and Japan.

Students will develop essential business management competencies alongside language proficiency and cultural awareness to effectively engage with Alberta's and Canada's East Asian commercial partners. Graduates can pursue diverse career paths across both public and private sector organizations that require specialized knowledge of Asian markets and business practices.
